Study abroad made simple
Japanese classes from N5 to N3, the three Japan pathways, and student visa assistance for Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States — with expert help at every step.
Japanese language courses
Three JLPT levels. Each one has a defined vocabulary and kanji target, a clear set of things you will be able to do at the end, and an examination to prove it.
- N5
Beginner — your first Japanese
Start from zero. Hiragana, katakana and your first few hundred kanji, with the everyday phrases you need to introduce yourself, shop, ask directions and get through a first week in Japan.
- Read and write hiragana and katakana with confidence
- Around 100 basic kanji and 800 everyday words
- Hold simple conversations about yourself, family and daily routine
- Sit the JLPT N5 examination
Weekday, weekend, face-to-face or online
- N4
Elementary — everyday Japanese
The level most employers and language schools in Japan ask for first. You move from set phrases to real conversation, and from survival reading to following notices, messages and short articles.
- Around 300 kanji and 1,500 words
- Follow everyday conversation spoken at a natural pace
- Read short passages on familiar topics
- Sit the JLPT N4 examination — the usual entry requirement for study and work pathways
Weekday, weekend, face-to-face or online
- N3
Intermediate — study and work ready
The bridge level. You handle workplace Japanese, read practical documents and understand conversation that is not slowed down for you — the footing you need to study, train or work in Japan.
- Around 650 kanji and 3,750 words
- Understand conversation at near-natural speed
- Read newspapers, manuals and workplace notices
- Sit the JLPT N3 examination
Weekday, weekend, face-to-face or online

For people already working full time. Same syllabus, same examination target.
Face-to-face
At the Buhangin main office or a branch, with a teacher in the room and classmates to practise on.
Online
Join from Panabo, Digos or anywhere else, without losing hours to the trip.
Pathways to Japan
Three routes, three different sets of requirements. We will tell you plainly which one your situation actually fits — including when the answer is “not yet”.
- Student visa
Study in Japan
Enrol in a Japanese language school or college in Japan. We prepare you for the language requirement, then help you assemble and lodge the student visa application.
- Japanese language preparation to the level your school requires
- School selection and application support
- Document preparation and visa lodgement
- Part-time job assistance once you are in Japan
- SSW
Specified Skilled Worker
Japan's work route for people with a tested skill. It needs both a skills assessment and Japanese language ability, and it leads to a proper employment contract rather than a training placement.
- Japanese language training to the required level
- Guidance on the skills evaluation for your field
- Employer matching and job placement support
- Our team in Japan supports you after you arrive
- TITP
Technical Intern Training
The Technical Intern Training Program places you with a Japanese employer to learn a trade on the job. For many of our students it is the first step of a longer career in Japan.
- Pre-departure Japanese language training
- Orientation on Japanese workplace culture
- Document preparation and application support
- Ongoing support from our team in Japan

The student visa process, step by step
This is how the office actually runs a Japan student visa application, from the first orientation to the day you land.
- 1Step 1
Orientation
Before starting the application, students attend our Japan Student Visa Orientation. It is free, and it is where you find out whether this route fits your situation.
- 2Step 2
Enrollment
A three-month JLPT N5 class. This is our own programme requirement, not an immigration one — it strengthens the application and it means you arrive able to function.
- 3Step 3
Processing
We encode and organise your personal information and the other required details, and prepare the documents for the application.
- 4Step 4
Briefing & interview preparation
A guide, sample questions and answers, and interview tips, so you go into the school interview prepared rather than hopeful.
- 5Step 5
Interview with a partner school
We arrange the interview with one of our partner schools in Japan.
- 6Step 6
Submit required documents
The completed application goes in, checked before it is lodged.
- 7Step 7
Sponsorship
- Show money: at least ₱2,000,000
- Proof of financial capacity
- Bank certificate and income or financial documents
- A clear and verifiable source of funds
For those who are unable to provide the required financial documents, Kagayakashii provides assistance.

The Specified Skilled Worker route
If your plan is work rather than study, SSW is three steps — and the language comes first.
- 1
Pass JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic
Either certificate satisfies the language requirement. We teach to both.
- 2
Choose your industry
Caregiving, construction, food manufacturing, hotel and accommodation, or food service.
- 3
Pass the skills examination
Each industry sets its own test. We point you at the right one and help you prepare.
Where our students work after JLPT N4
- Caregiving
- Construction
- Food manufacturing
- Hotel and hospitality
